Potter's Field Review
I am lucky enough to say that I have already
heard all of Potter's Field, and, as a huge fan of 12 Stones
ever since the first album, I would like to say that they
have greatly matured between the 2 albums. They began recording
the first album not even a year after they formed, and seemed
really rushed. More than 2 years after that release, they
are preparing to release Potter's Field.
Their sound has improved so much that you can play both albums
for somebody who has never heard them, and they would be
able to tell that Potter's Field is the newer album. Paul
McCoy shows his incredible songwriting talent even more on
this album, and sometimes even leaves you in awe of how deep
his lyrics get.
Eric Weaver continues to show that he is one of the best
guitarists in the business today, with awesome guitar solos
in most of the tracks on the album.
From Speak Your Mind to In Closing, 12 Stones leaves you
hanging onto your seat even more so than they did with the
first album. Personal favorites include Lifeless, Bitter,
and the slower Stay. I can sit here and tell you how great
this album is, but I don't want you to take my word for it.
Go out and get this album when it is released and you will
not be disappointed.
