Love And Freedom Review
This is a fantastic album, it continues BeBe's
long standing tradition of singing about the religious governing
the secular. Benjamin Winans (BeBe) along with sister Priscilla
(CeCe) long ago established himself as one of the greatest
artists every to come upon the gospel music scene. After
agreeing to take a hiatus as a duo in 1995 many wondered
if they could stand up as solo artists, both have proved
undoubtedly that they can!
For his part, BeBe earned himself a Grammy award for co-producing
Whitney Houston's 1993 Bodyguard soundtrack (the album featured
several producers), and that accolade has led to several
other writing and production opportunities (Yolanda Adams,
Take 6, Gladys Knight, and the Prince of Egypt soundtrack
to name a few). He released his self titled solo album in
1997 that produced the hits: In Harms Way and Midst of the
Rain and on top of all that, BeBe's been perfoming on Broadway,
most notably in Frank Wildhorn's musical The Civil War.
Love and Freedom once again shows why this man has been recognized
as one of the great musical talents of the past 20 years.
The album is wonderfully arranged and produced and has the
added plus of having some of the greatest artists in the
music industry lending their talents such as Luther Vandross
and his singers, Joe, Allstar, Brian McKnight, Marvin & CeCe
Winans and Stevie Wonder. This album is a must buy for any
music fan, trust me, you won't be disappointed.
