Bob Carlisle Forms Record Company

2002-04-13 - Veteran American CCM hitmaker Bob Carlisle is one of the founders of a new US Christian music company. The Butterfly Group, formed by Bob Carlisle, George King and Mike Rinaldi is launching four record labels - Christian Records, Gospel 1, Flying Leap and Butterfly Kids. Carlisle, known for his million-selling 'Butterfly Kisses' told Billboard, 'We're all doing this because we feel this is what God had in mind for us.' Russ Lee, former member of the group Newsong, is the first to be signed to Christian Records and plans for his debut album to be released by August or September. Gospel 1 will be dedicated to black gospel music. Flying Leap will take charge of alternative rock/pop and contemporary praise music and Butterfly Kids will be a label especially for children. George King said, 'We want a company with a mixture of great experience and youthful enthusiasm'.
