Butterfly Kisses & Other Stories Review
Not only does this album distill the best
of Bob Carlisle's
Diadem albums - with his big hit "Butterfly Kisses" front
and center but three new songs are included. One of these
songs "You're Beautiful" is worth the cost of admission
itself.
Unlikely anyone that I can think of, Bob Carlisle presents
the position of the father in his lyrics. On almost everyone
of these songs there is this reoccurring theme of fatherhood.
It is masterfully displayed in a song
like "Butterfly
Kisses" but it also appears in songs like "Father's
Love" and
"A Man of His Word". Most profoundly however it speaks
of the unconditional love a father has for his child in this
new song "You're Beautiful".
Listen to this and I dare you not to get a bit emotional.
