The Light Of Things Hoped For Review

I would like to challenge Joanna review that places seems to think that Brave Saint Saturn is emo or that they are catchy. To listen to this cd and enjoy is to not be drawn by the emotional or the mood of the songs, but to find the underlining theme that subordinates every song to the cd as a whole. There might be emotions that arouse from songs like Estrella, but the reality of the song's subject comes from understanding why it follows Titan. The harshness of the song is intended because there is a break between the subject and thoughts of the artist before Titan and after Titan. Titan is the equivalent to the fall of man, where man loses connection with earth and the space travelers find themselves wonder if they will live to find hope of life again. The impact then of Gemni to Atropos comes out more when listened to in the context of man fallen and life before the sunrise. All waits for hope to come unsure if it will ever come, but as the last song indicates the sun does rise. This is not an emotional moment of one mans life, but in context of fallen man becomes the sunrise of all mankind. It is the universal Sun that will save all when the fullness of time has come for him to do so. Emotion though is not the focus or the essence, it only enters to support in sparse locations and is subservient to message the artist are wishing to communicate. This message that flows through every song is that of Paradise Lost and Regained through the eyes of man. Do not confuse momentary emo with music that strives for something beyond the emotional and entertaining and is subordinate to a greater message.
