Kevin Rhoads Leaves By The Tree

2002-08-12 - Some fans may already have noticed that the wildly outspoken and creative voice of Kevin Rhoads is no longer a part of By The Tree. After the group's first successful year, it became evident that the directions of the band and Rhoads were no longer parallel, and in mid-2002, Rhoads departed the group. 'Kevin is such a talented guy-he plays so many instruments, he composes music in his head. We were holding him back as a band, and he didn't have the elbow room he needed to try new things,' says Chuck. 'But we know God has great things in store for him, and for us.'
