These Days Review
With Invade My Soul, their first national
release from Fervent Records, under their belt, modern pop/rock
band By The Tree has already won two Dove Awards, scored
several rock radio hits, received amazing critical acclaim,
and wrapped up their first year as one of the top ten new
artists of 2001 according to Soundscan. In August 2002, the
band reveals more great songs, again penned primarily by
founding member Chuck Dennie and the rest of By The Tree,
on their second album, These Days. Taking the helm as producers,
Joe Chiccarelli (Tori Amos, Oingo Boingo) and Otto Price
(dc Talk, Katy Hudson, Grits) have blended By The Tree's
popular rock sound and vertical lyrics with a modern pop
groove, revealed songs like "Mystery" and "Salvation
Song," and the upbeat "Into Your Arms," a
cover of early '90s band The Lemonheads. With an extensive
tour schedule that will take them to most of the major summer
festivals, including Creation and AtlantaFest, and planning
for a fall tour underway, By The Tree will reach hundreds
of thousands of fans this year with the sound that Billboard
describes as "a rich full sound that entertains the
ears and enriches the soul."
