Cadet Using Zappy Scooters On Tour

2001-05-28 - Are they some kind of hip new missionaries or a reincarnation of the Monkees? Christian surf-rock/pop band Cadet kicked off their summer tour by plugging into a trio of Zappy® electric scooters from alternative transportation developer ZAPWORLD.COM. The band will be using the electric scooters for appearances and as part of their on-stage presence during the tour. Cadet's record compagny BEC Recordings told us: 'We love the ZAPPYs. We have had a bunch of them around our offices in Seattle for years and have even used them to help promote some of our other bands, like The Supertones. Some people look at this thing with bands and scooters and compare Cadet to the Monkees, which is funny, Cadet's favorite cover song is I'm a Believer.'
