Supernatural Review
1998-09-22 -Pounding pop melodies (with DC
Talk displaying more than their usual flair for 3-way shared
melody and harmony arrangements), catchy and honest lyrics,
and ample rock groove pushes this album to live up to its
name.
If you're not one to sing along on the harder songs (It's
Killing Me, Supernatural), don't worry, because the album
is mostly comprised of passionate pop sentiments, such as
Consume Me, Godsend, The Truth, and Into Jesus. There's also
the aggresively fun My Friend (So Long) and Since I Met You,
and the gentle Red Letters.
Whether a DC Talk enthusiast or a newcomer to Christian
music, you'll want to take a listen to the best yet CD from
one of contemporary Christian music's best groups. The original
release of this CD came in a slick cardboard digipak. Current
releases are in a standard jewel case. Virgin Records also
released this disc to the US secular mainstream.
