of Parachute Records)
A solid fusion of power and raw emotion
- Detour180 is loud, hooky, rock with soul. Music that
capture’s
heart and passion. An honesty that leaves you with a
promise of hope and the feeling that lead singer, Adrian
Robertson, might actually be singing your song.
Detour180 are a dedicated group of
young guys who are determined to see the salvation of today’s youth. The heart of
the band is summed up by Robertson – "We don't
do music for music's sake, its got purpose and we want to
use it that way. Who we are and what we play is all about
music moving people, invading thought processes. If we do
that we're achieving what we set out to do."
The guys have spent the last 2 years
touring in the U.S, Canada, Australia, & New Zealand – playing concerts
in churches & youth centers, and also on the road with
Tree 63, Delirious, Rebecca St James, Pillar, and Skillet.
Patrons of a Detour180 concert walk away challenged to get
closer to God, and impacted by a performance that is both
genuine and energetic.
Radio support for the band’s debut album has been
impressive for a band that started up just three years ago.
Their first single ‘Beautiful’ spent 12 weeks
in the Top 30 CHR charts (R&R) last year, climbing to
No.26, and also in the Air 1 radio Top 20 for several months.
On tour the guys continue to gather a loyal fan-base from
all age groups with a sound that appeals to young and old
alike.
With their heartfelt explosive sound, the boys from New
Zealand make a fresh contribution to Christian music on a
standing of its own. Ready or not, here they come - Detour180
is amping to rock.
