Downhere To Release Sophomore Album June 10

2003-04-24 - Downhere's upcoming album, So Much For Substitutes, pairs the Canadian foursome with famed producer Jimmy Lee Sloas (PFR, Switchfoot) and showcases the songwriting talents of band members Jason Germain and Marc Martel. The album features such diverse topics as depression, loneliness and pain, as well as worship, encouragement in faith and our responsibility to be Christ-like. 'This album is an honest portrayal of our growth and struggles over the last two years,' says Martel. 'It's also a big jump in our musical evolution.' Germain adds, 'We didn't want to just stick to the same color palettes, we wanted to mix them up. We're trying to explain in our art what being a Christian is and to be as deeply layered as possible.'
