FFH to Release New Album Inspired by Pastor
and Author Rich Stevenson
Christian recording artist FFH will release
its sixth studio album Voice From Home on Essential Records
Dec. 27, 2005. The project features original pop songs with
a cohesive theme of God speaking to His people. This theme
comes from the mentorship of FFH frontman Jeromy Deibler
by pastor and author Rich Stevenson through which the close-knit
band drew inspiration.
Stevenson’s book, titled “A Voice From Home,” (Waterbrook
Press, Sept. 2005) evoked conversation with Deibler, and
further discussion with all members of FFH. Deibler and his
band mates then wrote songs they describe as the other side
of worship. Rather than writing songs to God, FFH wrote songs
from God in words of encouragement, hope and love as expressed
through biblical scriptures.
“Every song on the album is routed in scripture, but
it’s designed so you can listen to the Father’s
voice in common everyday language,” says Deibler. “The
songs on the album are in first person; it’s God talking
to his people.”
FFH plans to tour with Stevenson holding
church events that feature scriptural teachings from Stevenson’s book
with music from Voice From Home. FFH has garnered seven No.
1 radio singles including “Still The Cross” and
seven GMA Music Award nominations since their debut in 1998.
