Hyper Static Union announces tour dates
New band joins Building 429, An Evening of
Compassion and Third Day for Spring and Summer 2006 shows
(Franklin, TN. 03/28/06) - New RKT
Music signing Hyper Static Union recently announced a slate
of 30+ concerts for Spring/Summer 2006. In April, HSU will
join Building 429 and Tait for the Rise Tour, followed
in April by an opening slot on An Evening of Compassion,
featuring Bebo Norman, Caedmon’s Call
and Geoff Moore. Throughout the summer, Hyper Static Union
will be joining their friends Third Day, whose members signed
the band to their own Consuming Fire Productions, on various
festival appearances. Booked by Creative Artists Agency,
HSU will also be performing a number of solo dates throughout
the next few months.
HSU was discovered by members of Grammy-winning
band Third Day, who brought the album to RKT to market
and distribute. HSU’s debut, Lifegiver, is set for a May 9, 2006 street
date. Hailing from the Northwest, Hyper Static Union formed
in 1998, and its members have spent the past eight years
honing their craft and creating a style of music that’s
one of a kind. Band members Shawn Lewis (guitar/vocals),
Ray Burnham (drums), Bryan Albrechtson (guitar) and Mike
Jackson (bass) first met in high school, and the four indicate
a variety of musical influences, everything from Seal to
Sting to Sade to Steely Dan.
Hyper Static Union frontman Shawn Lewis
said, “We
feel inclined to produce music that requires people to ‘tune-in’ mentally
and spiritually. We want the audience to consider certain
things about their salvation, the state of the world, their
hearts and their relationships.”
