Jake Leaves Reunion Records
2002-08-26 - The future of Canadian pop group
Jake, who have had the albums ‘Jake’ and ‘Army
Of Love’ released worldwide by Reunion Records, has
been clarified. Jake’s Marty Penner, 'A couple of months
ago we asked Reunion if we could be released from our contract.
They agreed and promised to work the record (send out radio
singles, issue press releases, etc) through the end of the
year. There are honestly no hard feelings between Reunion
and us. I know that's uncommon. We feel like they did a good
job of working our first two records and we really have no
major complaints. We decided to leave basically because we
have a different vision for this band and this music than
Reunion did.' The group are currently without a record contract
and are selling their music and merchandise exclusively online.
Jake will embark on their first ever cross-Canada headlining
tour on September 12.
