Fervent Records Signs Jill Phillips

2003-04-10 - Fervent Records has announced the addition of their first female artist, Jill Phillips. Set to release her first national release August 5, 2003, Phillips has been compared to the likes of Christian artists Nichole Nordeman and Sara Groves with a sound comparable to Sheryl Crow. In the studio now, Phillips takes on producing the album alongside her husband/co-writer Andy Gullahorn and Matt Stanfield (Plumb). Together the three produced her second independent album, God and Money, for which she received the CCM Reader's Award for 'Best Independent Artist of 2002.' 'I am excited about the opportunity to work with Fervent and make this new record,' says Phillips. 'I feel really strongly about all the songs.'
