Ardent Signs Rock Band Jonah33

2003-04-09 - Jonah33, founded by Seattle native Vince Lichlyter, is slated to release its national, self-titled debut, June 24, 2003. Growing up in the midst of Seattle's legendary beginnings of such acts as Nirvana and Pearl Jam, Lichlyter relocated to Arkansas and began working with a local student ministry. His independent project caught the interest of Ardent's A&R director, Dana Key. 'Vince's passion to serve God is the catalyst for Jonah33's spiritually moving blend of rock,' says Key. 'That fervor was hard to ignore as he recorded at Ardent. We knew that Vince would be the core of the next big rock band to be introduced to the industry.' Jonah33 is inspired by the verse Jonah 3:3: 'Jonah obeyed the word of the Lord and went to Nineveh.'
