While the transition from solo artist to worship leader came years ago, Surrounded By Mercy is clearly a pure offering of the ever transparent and vulnerable Hill. This is the eleventh national release for the fifteen year music veteran and Hill continues to offer what we've come to expect, a fresh perspective with great content as well as the same flawless, deep, resonating vocals her name is synonymous with. Surrounded By Mercy is much more than a collection of worship songs and still boasts the strength and diversity that has been modeled by Hill in the past. While Hill's previous efforts have been powerful and uplifting, Surrounded By Mercy is her most passionate and engaging worship project to date. Her authenticity and spiritual maturity are beautifully reflected in this offering's live format.

Kim was ignited with a passion to worship and to lead others in 1997 when Focus on the Family asked her to lead worship at their debut Renewing the Heart conference held in Nashville, TN. She went on to lead for each of the conferences Focus proceeded to host, touching over 200,000 women during the 2 year stint. "I had always been a solo artist, so to invite and encourage an arena with 20,000 women to sing with me to an 'audience of One' rather than just sit there and listen was a new and amazing experience," said Hill some six years ago. Today she stands true to that focal point. Singing around the world, Kim has kept her calling to lead others as the priority and is in demand from such organizations as Women of Virtue conferences, Moody Bible Institute, Focus On The Family as well as her own conference series, Every Woman's Hope she created with longtime friend and former Focus Women's Director Lisa Harper.

Juggling the responsibilities of a recording artist, worship leader, and mother of two very active boys, Hill has found comfort in worship and she encourages others through her music to do the same. "I think that the trials of life help us see what really matters … our losses, our struggles make his grace and mercy sweeter. My personal journey has made me realize how desperate I am for the Lord to help me every moment of everyday."

Although Kim stays busy with recordings and women's conferences, most days, you'll find her at home in Nashville, Tennessee buried under mounds of laundry and driving carpool in her pajamas. However, the music, the mood, the strength and the sensitivity of Kim Hill shows us an accomplished artist firmly plantedcomfortable in the spotlight of leading others to the One center stage.
