Song Cinema Review

Mark Schultz is one of may favorite artists, and I had not heard of him until this album. Song Cinema is really great! Some of his music is very reflective and thought-provoking; "The Holy One" is an example. He and Chris Rice are excellent together in this track, and what they have to say is very powerful. For me, the gem of this album is "I Have Been There." I don't think I have ever heard a piece of music that strikes so powerfully to what it means to have Christ as a Savior. Every one of the trials that Mark speaks of, I have experienced. I have railed against God, not knowing that Jesus suffered the same trials so that I would have someone to carry me through my own. It was worth having Song Cinema just to be reminded of that fact.
