Nicole C. Mullen Appears On UPN's The Parkers

2002-03-23 - Award winning singer/songwriter Nicole C. Mullen was a featured guest star with a step-out performance in a recent episode of UPN's The Parkers which aired on March 4th. The special gospel episode highlighted Mullen along with a special guest appearance by Donnie McClurkin. Shot on location in Los Angeles, Mullen filmed the show the week of December 10, 2001. In this episode entitled 'Make A Joyful Noise', Mullen plays Patrice, a singer in the Mount Zion Chapel Choir who catches the eye of regular character Professor Oglevee (played by Dorien Wilson). The Parkers, UPN's highest-rated comedy, is in it's third season. Nicole C. Mullen's sophomore project Talk About It released in August of 2001. Last April she garnered four of the Gospel Music Association's Dove Awards at the 32nd Annual awards ceremony, making her second in the industry for total Dove Award wins in 2001. In addition to songwriting, Mullen has also written a book, Redeemer (published by J. Countryman), based on her award winning song.
