Bring It On Review
I've been a Phil Joel fan since the first
time I ever heard him. This is his 2nd album and he has definitely
grown both musically and spiritually. The words are not preachy,
but rather show a man who is trying to live as he should.
Sounds preachy, but it isn't. He's a great rocker!!! The
songs range from some really rocking tunes (and I REALLY
like a great, fast beat) like "Move" and "Resolution" to
ballads and in between. One of my favorites is "All
So Good" which features the sounds of Phil's baby daughter
(I'm assuming) Phynley. While you're expecting an adoring
father's loving words about his baby, you get hit with an
adoring son's loving words about his God. Amazing! It's got
a great rock beat, too, and you never doubt that he loves
Phynley! The thing I love best about "Newsboys" (the
band that Phil is bass guitarist for) and Phil's solo music
is: Finally! Somebody figured out that Christians can do
professional-quality music just as well as the secular world.
You've got to hear this!
