Russ Lee In Iraq

2004-11-27 - Recording artist Russ Lee returned November 14 from a 10-day visit to Iraq, where he was invited to present concerts and spend time with U.S. Army personnel. Lee traveled throughout Iraq, and in addition to performing several times, had the opportunity to lead a Bible study with troops and visit military hospitals. He also met with several of the Army's commanding officers in Iraq, praying with them and offering words of encouragement. In addition, Lee saw firsthand the results of several collaborative efforts between military chaplains and U.S. churches which have benefited the Iraqi people, including the collection and distribution of school supplies for children and the establishment of health clinics across the country.
