Switchfoot Joins Clear Channel Music Series
Switchfoot joins Clear Channel's online music
series, appearing on the company's “stripped raw and
real” web cast. Starting last week, more than 200 Clear
Channel Radio station web sites will release performances
of the band playing songs from Nothing is Sound, including
their first hit single “Stars.” Switchfoot is
Clear Channel's first alternative band to join the series.
Since May, Rob Thomas, Gavin DeGraw, Brad Paisley, John Legend,
Jesse McCartney and Kanye West have lent their voices to
the in-studio sessions. Check out strippedmusic.com.
Switchfoot reflects on the band’s recent
Katrina benefit concert on their website: “Saturday’s
show [9/10] at the Santa Monica Pier was surreal to say the
least, right down to the prop-plane flying by dragging a
Switchfoot banner … The over-capacity crowd, including
the crowd of people outside the fence, gave us and our new
album a very warm greeting. We truly have the best fans in
the world, and we are more excited than ever before to begin
the fall tour.” See the pictures at Switchfoot Santa
Monica Pier Photos.
