Holy Culture Review
Musically, “Holy Culture” is
more of a return to the group’s East Coast flavored
roots. In touch with Hip-Hop’s current pulse, Cross
Movement employed more mid-tempo beat bangers designed for
the real heads, along with a few soulful singing hooks that
are sure to ease the apprehensions of the Hip-Hop sightseer.
In addition, songs like “Cry No More” and “Forever” will
continue Cross Movement’s encouraging legacy to the
believer, while “Free,” “Holy Culture,” and “L.L.R.P.” challenge
the non-believer about the ill rewards of the godless life. “Holy
Culture” is the long awaited, fourth episode of a rich
spirit-filled rhythmic odyssey that has seen many Americans,
as well as those outside the country, changed by the Gospel
through the use of the tool of Hip-Hop.
