Phenomenon Review
Coming straight from
Ontario, Canada (yay!) are rockers Thousand Foot Krutch.
After selling a surprisingly high amount of copies of their
second indie CD (Set It Off), Thousand Foot Krutch quickly
attracted the interest of many record companies... and
Tooth&Nail is the one who won
them over...
After many years of wait, because of label problems and
stuff, Thousand Foot Krutch bring their best - and best produced
- album to date. Seeing the death of the rap-metal style,
Thousand Foot Krutch had to follow the footsteps of other
ex-rapmetallists (POD, Pillar, etc.) and take a more melodic,
solid-rock approach... Turns out the CD is quite good (much
better than POD's melodic approach with 'Payable On Death')...
Highlights from this CD include the
beautiful slow song "This
Is A Call", the powerful "Rawkfist", and the
great rock songs "Faith, Love, and Happiness" and "Ordinary".
This band is going to be big... It is no surprise to me
that Rawkfist is doing great on mainstream radio!!
