Tree63 Review
Good News (excuse the pun), Christian music
fans! Tree63's CD is one of the finest CDs I've listened
to, and the fact that it is a Christian CD is an added bonus.
Tree63's sound is a combination of Collective Soul's alternative
pop-rock and U2's edgy rock. The CD is full of rocking worship
songs, songs that make you tap your feet and sing along and
worship the Lord at the same time. These guys are extremely
talented and this CD is truly exceptional. I think even non-Christians
would enjoy the music.
Highlights for me are the sweet opening
song "Treasure",
the guitar rich "Sacrifice", the driving "Earnestly" (which
reminds me of `80s alternative pop), the beautiful ballad "A
Million Lights", and the fabulous "1*0*1" in
which the opening guitar riffs will make you think U2's Edge
has made a guest appearance. That said, though, let me just
add that there isn't a weak song on the disc.
But the best song of the CD, and one
of the finest worship songs I've ever heard --- and sang
along to --- is "Look
What You've Done." Every time I hear this song and sing
along, I can't help but really listen to the words I am singing... "What
can I do for you my Lord? / I want you to know my heart is
yours / It's not a question of what you can do for me / But
what can I do for you my Lord?"
Here's hoping and praying for another Tree 63 CD real soon!
