Where I Stand Review
This 1996 release, perhaps Paris's most accessible
in her long career, stands as her top-selling album to date.
It's carried by the smash hit "Love's Been Following
You," a light and rolling pop melody with a strong Celtic
influence. "Jesus In You" is another crowd-pleaser
in the same vein. Christian music fans will enjoy Paris's
duet with Steven Curtis Chapman on "Faithful Friend" as
well as her solitary testament to faith in "I Will Listen." She's
consistent throughout this release with a graceful style,
a heart of compassion, and a songwriter's aim to encourage
the listener. This should be of no surprise, however, since
this commendable approach has defined Paris's work since
she began her career in Christian music.
